Comparison between NZS 1170.5 Seismic Design Spectra and Hysteresis-Damped Spectra​

Caudillo, our teammate here in StruktEQ, has recently published a paper regarding displacement-based design on the Bulletin of the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering, Volume 50, No. 1, March 2017. Cook Street Building, Auckland​

The StruktEQ team has recently completed an extensive peer review of the full structural design of the proposed new 15-storey reinforced concrete wall building in Cook Street, Auckland.The process involved close coordination with the designer through several stages from foundations to superstructure design. A full 3D computer model was created and a Response Spectrum Analysis was performed as part of the review.​

Anglesea Apartments Hamilton

Construction of a new 3-storey apartment building in Hamilton was recently completed.The StruktEQ team provided the structural analysis and associated building consent documentations (including PS1) for the project. The team coordinated closely with the Client, Constructor, Architect, and Project Manager throughout the whole process from concept phase to construction monitoring to contribute to a successful completion of the project.

Base Isolation Projects

Ernesto de Peralta has experience on special engineering analysis projects particularly on base isolation. While working for Holmes Consulting Group, he has done the following base isolation projects:Mashhad Crisis Centre (Base Isolation)    Analysis and design of the base isolation of Mashad Crisis Centre, a 2    storey (1,444 sq. m) crisis centre in Mashhad, Iran using ETABS.    He used UBC 97 & Iranian Code.Tehran Crisis Centre (Base Isolation)    Preliminary sizing of the base isolation system for the 3 storey crisis      centre in Tehran, Iran.​

Ratcliffe River House

Ernesto de Peralta while working for Holmes Consulting Group was involved in the structural design and analysis of this iconic riverside house in Hamilton. This Ratcliffe River House owned by Robin & Colleen Ratcliffe was selected to be in the top 7 Architect Designed Projects in New Zealand for TVNZ's The Art of the Architect Programme.

Wintec Carpark (a five storey steel carpark)

Ernesto de Peralta, while working for Holmes Consulting Group was responsible for the analysis and design of the Eccentrically Braced Frame steel carpark in accordance to HERA R4-76 using ETABS, design of steel structure in accordance to NZS 3404 and the foundation, floor diaphragm design in accordance to NZS 3101
